Acoustic doors : Sound insulated doors
Acoustic doors are used to dampen machine noise, protect offices from the sounds produced in adjacent premises, acoustically separate movie theaters, discotheques or videoconferencing, theaters, auditoriums, etc. …. therefore an acoustic door must have a specially hermetic seal and also the door leaf must have a special structure with specific insulating materials, so that no sound passes through, complying with EN 20140 and ISO 10140 standards.
Acoustic doors comprise two groups:
- Steel hinged (swing) doors. For acoustic insulation from 38 dB up to 60 dB and fire resistant. Depending on their location and function, these doors should close automatically by installing a self-closing device with a recommended force of 20N to optimally compress the insulation seals.
- Acoustic sliding doors up to 52 dB
